What Is Separation Anxiety?

Separation anxiety is an actual condition that some dogs suffer from. They are not simply disobedient, and it can be triggered in many ways:

  • A sudden change in a dog’s routine, for example, spending much more time alone than usual

  • Not training your puppy to be comfortable being alone from a young age

  • A rescue dog who has anxiety from being in rescue kennels

  • The death of a pet friend your dog has lived with for years

  • A change in surroundings such as moving house

  • Hereditary behavior patterns or genetics

  • Boredom

It manifests in highly distressed and destructive behavior from your pet when you leave the house. Depending on the dog, the signs can begin as soon as you start to put on your shoes, or they may not start until after you’ve left home and you return to angry complaints of excessive barking from your neighbors, or to find your dog has chewed up your furniture and toileted on the floor.

Extreme Consequences When Symptoms Of Separation Anxiety Are Ignored:

  • Dogs have been known to break their teeth by trying to escape.

  • Dogs may develop eating disorders and lethargic behavior.

  • Dogs tear their nails and skin by trying to get out through the doors.

  • Dogs destroy doors and breakthrough windows to escape as their anxiety increases.

I purchased the Dog Explained e-book on Friday and after reading it, I feel that it is not for me. Although, it’s more about my dog... I think the book was very well written and the principles totally make sense. I just have a very stubborn puppy!

Dogs get a habit in approximately 28 days, the same as people. Whether it’s a negative, or a positive habit. Meaning, if you will spend one month 24/7 with your dog, you will both get a habit of being together. This lockdown might cause separation anxiety for many dogs. When it’s all going to be over you will go back to your usual schedule but your dog won’t get an explanation why?! The good part is that taking this very simple & easy to follow 28 day plan should be enough to prevent it for most of the dogs! Highly Recommend it!

I can’t shut up advocating this 28 day plan because I absolutely solved my dog’s separation anxiety with it (and I’m newbie at dog training). I even bought a 3-month plan on top to include crate training. It’s very easy to follow and I finally know how to spend quality time with my dog. Your ad on facebook was a wake-up call for me & my dog!

My dog has severe separation anxiety and we already tried so many programs. Unfortunately, this plan didn't work for us either. I ended up hiring a professional trainer for a third time now. I just couldn't manage to follow this program every day.

I was about to
transfer a deposit of $2000 for a personal dog trainer before I saw this ad on Facebook. I was so desperate regarding my dog’s excessive barking that I was about to pay $2000 for a 1-month training course, 8 lessons in total with a private dog trainer. I don’t know if I’m that keen on training or if it was that simple but I managed to train my dog to stop barking home alone by following this easy 28 day plan which cost less than a fancy dinner.

with a guilty look. It’s a miracle!

Our

Promise

We are proud to say that we offer the most affordable DIY solution to solve separation anxiety. It's because our mission is that every dog would enjoy every moment of life.

Unfortunately, many of the local dog training schools, camps, or personal trainers are too expensive for most of the households. Prices can go as high as $100 per class, meaning $1 000 - $2 000 per few months. We believe that every loving dog owner could do most of the training by themselves if having the right guidance. That's why we create training plans that everyone could understand and easily follow the routine.

Due to the current situation of #lockdown and unstable jobs, we've lowered our prices to the minimum (currently, you can save $150 by getting a 3-Month Training Plan Bundle to Solve Separation Anxiety together with the "Dog Separation Anxiety Explained" eBook & Audiobook).

In case you've already chosen a 3-Month or 28-Day plan, but you couldn't afford to pay the full price, be sure to contact us, and we could figure something out. We want every dog to live happily, no matter the cost.

That's why a percentage of our profits go to dogs in need. If you have any shelters in mind who would need support, please write us an email hello@thedogexplained.com, and we will do our best to reach out to them.

Keeping it all transparent is our value. If you aren't satisfied with any of our products, please contact us & we will immediately refund your money. We want to keep happy money only.

Truthfully,

FAQ

Is this training program right for me?

This self-training program was created specifically for you if you want to:

Train your puppy to stay happy-home-alone from a young age and prevent separation anxiety in the first place.

Train your grown-up dog to stay calm at home alone after working-from-home and being in lockdown for such a long time.

Save money by training a dog yourself, instead of hiring an expensive trainer.

Save time by having a clear day-by-day action plan created by professional trainers instead of browsing the internet for random sources of information.

For dogs with severe symptoms of separation anxiety (eating disorders, tearing their nails and skin by trying to get out through the doors or windows) we would suggest consulting a dog behaviorist or a vet to ensure a personalized treatment and extra precautions.

What result I should expect?

Every case is different though you should expect to:

 - Turn a clingy buddy to an independent best-friend. Separation anxiety is solved by building mutual trust. You’ll know your dog’s anxiety limits, and the dog will know that you’ll come back before the anxiety kicks in.

 - Recognize and desensitize triggers of your dog’s separation anxiety. Whether it’s departure routines of you putting on make-up, grabbing the keys, getting in shoes, putting on a coat or any other.

 - Gradually increase the period of time your dog can stay home-alone without getting anxious. We’ve had clients starting from a trust-period of 15 seconds, and improving to 3,5 hours after completing the 3-month self-training program. Though every dog is different, so prepare for the worst, hope for the best. Imagine, what would you do if having a dog-free card for a few hours daily?

 - See how your dog treats a crate to be his/her sanctuary of calm. We recommend using a sanctuary or a gated area for the training during the first months, and introduce the crate in the third month of the program. That's why the crate training guidance is included only in the 3-month program. Just because for most dogs, starting from a sanctuary and moving to a crate gradually is less stressful than using a crate right away.

What if I’ll get stuck with the training or don’t know what to do next?

Contact us, and our pawsitive customer service will help you out in 24 hours, usually in less than 15 minutes. We’ve helped thousands of dog owners already. Even though every case is different, the problems are mostly the same. Don’t be shy and reach out for professional help. We really care and want you to succeed in training your clingy buddy to be your independent best-friend.

Why is the 3-month program better?

In general, a 3-month training program naturally shows better results than a 28-day one, as with any habit.

Also, the 3-month program includes an extension for the transition to crate during the 3rd month of the training.

In the 28-day program, we recommend using a sanctuary or any gated area instead of a crate because a crate itself may cause extra anxiety for a pup who is already anxious.

What if my dog is crate trained but has separation anxiety?

We recommend using a sanctuary or any gated area instead of a crate because a crate itself may cause additional anxiety for some dogs.

If you’re sure that a crate doesn’t add up to your dog’s anxiety of being alone, you may follow the program by using a crate instead of a sanctuary.

As all examples are with the sanctuary in mind, you may need to adjust the program a bit, but simply follow gradual steps of creating the distance between you and your dog. For example, starting with an open gate, and being nearby then gradually increasing the boundaries, as staying out of dog’s vision, then closing the gate. You will know when to change it up by following the daily steps written out in the program.

How will I access this digital training program?

Immediately after the checkout, you will receive an email confirmation with a button to access your purchased program. You’ll have lifetime access and the ability to download the training program anytime, on multiple devices (PC, laptop, tablet, and a phone), for numerous times. Though it’s strictly forbidden and against the law to share the purchased content in public or between people. If you know somebody who needs this program but couldn’t afford it, please let them contact us, and we will take care of your buddy.

In case you lose the files or couldn’t find the confirmation email, please contact our customer support help@thedogexplained.com or drop us a message onFacebook Messenger by clicking here(same reply time-rate as emails but no chance of “spam folder” side-effect).

Why do customers ask for a refund?

We offer a 30-day money back guarantee and occasionally receive refund requests. To save time for both you, and our customer support, we’ve written down who are not recommended to buy this program:

 - Experienced dog owners who have read every book & article on separation anxiety. Most likely, you won’t learn anything new from this program. Unless you still haven’t figured what specific (positive reinforcement) actions to take to solve your dog’s anxiety at-home.

 - Looking for a secret potion to solve separation anxiety in a day. We’re sorry to inform you, but it’s impossible. The training requires a lot of patience and consistency. Though it’s totally worth it, everyone who succeeded would agree!

 - Living in a very small apartment, and not willing to create a gated area as a sanctuary room for the training. It requires very little space (should fit a dog’s bed, a bowl, a few toys, and enough space for a dog to stretch) though not everyone has the ability.
